U12 SORT-OUT Information and Registration - 2025-26

U12 SORT-OUT INFORMATION & REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025-26 SEASON

We will be holding an important parent information session on Monday August 24th , 2025, from 8:00 to 8:30 PM. During this session, we’ll answer your questions about U12 team formation for the 2025-2026 season. Your attendance is strongly encouraged, as your input will help guide decisions about the appropriate level of play for this group of athletes.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

For the 2025-2026 season, All athletes born in 2014 or 2015 and 2016 are invited to participate in the team formation player evaluations.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN U12A, U12B AND U12C?

The difference is gnerally the experience and skating skill of the athlete groups. ALL teams will play in the NCRRL against other teams of a similar caliber (i.e. 12A vs 12A). Teams will participate in tournaments throughout the season and can all participate in the U12 Provincial Championship Event at the end of the season.

Warmup Skate 1: Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 12:00 PM - CIH PAD 1

Warmup Skate 2: Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM - CIH PAD 1

Skating evaluation #1: Sat, September 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM - CIH PAD 1

Stab, Pass, Shoot #2: Sat, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM - CIH PAD 1

Red vs Blue game #3: Sat, Sun 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM - CIH PAD 1

EVALUATION PROCESS

Your player must be registered for the season to participate in sortout evaluations.
Players need to attend both session 1 & 2 (warmup skate is optional)
Refer to Ringette Ontario U12 Team Formation Guidelines for more information
CRRA team formation committee will form teams to maximize growth If two teams are formed, players will be placed on a team based on their skills, experience, and game sense. If only one team is formed, the level of play (A,B or C) will be determined based on the overall skill level and interest of the group. Shortly after evaluations, you will be informed which team your child should register for the 2025-2026 season.
